Impact is an easy to use, relational database, suitable for all applications where information must be stored, retrieved and processed, quickly and easily. A database can be created and used within minutes of installation, by simple drag and drop methods, then modified and extended later as needed. But it's much more than just a database. User designed data cards contain familiar desktop features such as radio buttons, tick boxes and pop-up menus. Programmable action buttons reduce lengthy everyday procedures to single clicks, making it ideal for the busy office. Direct data transfer into Ovation Pro and Impression provides the best report generation available from any RISC OS database. Impact is designed to be used.
Report generation is probably the most useful feature of any database. Information must be located, processed and extracted from the database, and inserted into invoices, statements, VAT reports, purchase orders, mail shots, etc. This information may be in the form of simple database fields, calculations, or complete tables of data running over several pages. Further, the printed document may need to contain letter heads, company logos, mixtures of fonts, colours and special effects.
Impact offers all this by interfacing directly with OvationPro and Impression via the Impulse module, providing full control of data insertion and printing seamlessly from within Impact itself.
